Slap and Tickle!

Dress - Trashy Diva
Necklace - 1940s Brass via Lantana Vintage
Stockings - eBay
Shoes - eBay

An outfit that I wore last weekend on the blog today. I bought this dress over a year ago and it was my first Trashy Diva dress, it started my love for their designs! This is a perfect 40s style dress and the rayon fabric is so lovely to wear. It's so versatile that I can wear it during any season! The Trashy Diva Slap and Tickle print is gorgeous, I love the hands and feathers on the fabric and the colour combination.

I took these photos in the sewing room as I have been meaning to take some against the purple wall for a while now and I think they turned out quite well and go nicely with the colour of the dress.

The 1940s brass necklace is a favourite of mine and I was so lucky to win it from a Lantana Vintage instagram competition a few months ago! It is such a timeless and interesting necklace.

Spring has definitely sprung and that has made me excited to start wearing some of the summer clothing that I bought during winter.

Feeling Foxy!

Cardigan - Hell Bunny
Dress - 1950s Vintage
Shoes - I Love Billy

Last weekend I wore this outfit around town when out with Max for lunch and some grocery shopping. Hell Bunny cardigans have been one of my favourite things to add to my wardrobe this year, I have two of their nautical cardigans as well and hope to collect more!

They are very well made, the knit is soft and the details are so cute! I loved pairing the Foxy cardigan with one of my favourite vintage day dresses, I've had this 1950s chambray dress for a couple of years now and it is always so wonderful to wear.

Cat-eye make up has been fun lately as I have finally found the perfect product that makes it easy to apply and is long lasting.

I can feel the weather starting to heat up, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming which makes me so excited to wear my favourite spring/summer clothing, as well as new additions to my wardrobe - not long now!

Western Vixen

Shirt - Vintage
Skirt - c/o Voodoo Vixen
Boots - Glassons
Hat - Akubra

I have always wanted to do a western inspired shoot and when I was sent the June skirt by Voodoo Vixen I knew that I had to do just that!

The cap gun had to be included for this post and I couldn't help but get into character when we were shooting. I imagined that I was in Back to the Future Part III - I love those films so much!

The June is such a great skirt, it is well made, the fabric is beautiful, the buttons are super cute and it has really good deep pockets at the front! I got a size small and found it to run large though that is not too much of an issue as it can simply be taken in.

Of course this skirt can be worn more casually and I will be posting another look when the weather heats up a bit more! I really love how versatile it is!

I highly recommend Voodoo Vixen clothing for affordable and high quality garments and they have also just released a plus size range!

The Anastasia Coat

A photo from my phone with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park behind me.

Purse - Vintage
Shoes - Target

This continues on from my last post, on top of the red velvet dress I wore the beautiful Anastasia coat and cape set to see Bob Dylan at The Sydney Opera House on the weekend. I bought it a few months ago and have been waiting to wear it out whilst the weather was still cool and thought this would be the perfect opportunity!

Again I was forced to get quick photos of it, but that's okay since I expect to wear it for many years and hopefully take it to Paris in the future.

It has to be one of the most luxurious and extravagant items of clothing in my wardrobe and I love it! The coat is really warm and is lined really nicely and I also like the fact that the cape is separate if you want a simpler look - It also came with a matching belt and big front pockets (I love pockets, but don't we all!?). I have to thank The PinUp Gal for her excellent service as always, I was lucky to get it in my size and I do not regret purchasing it!

I was very warm in my velvet dress and heavy coat on Sunday night, though the weather took a real change the next day and it was a beautiful sunny Spring day. Luckily I packed a perfect outfit to suit the weather and I will be blogging that next. You may already know what outfit that is if you follow my Instagram account!

Red Velvet

Dress - Collectif
Stockings - eBay
Shoes - Target
Purse - Vintage

On Sunday night I saw Bob Dylan at the Sydney Opera House and finally had the chance to wear this amazing red velvet dress by Collectif!

It was a great night and I received many comments about my outfit... It is such a luxurious dress that is also very comfortable.

The show started at 8pm so it was too dark to get any decent photos at the Sydney Opera House and there wasn't very good lighting inside either, so these photos were taken at the hotel.

I teamed the dress with the Collectif Anastasia coat and plan those photos in the next few days!

The Perfect Vintage Cardigan!

Cardigan - 1950s Vintage
Jeans - Bernie Dexter
Beret - Gift from Max
Brooch - Vintage
Shoes - I Love Billy

This outfit has been one of my most worn looks during Autumn and Winter usually with a coat over the top. And then there have been different variations all which usually revolve around the cardigan and jeans. This could be wearing flats for practicability on certain days, wearing my favourite sheer nylon headscarf and mixing up the brooch I pair it with...

My Aunty sent me this cardigan in the mail a few months ago knowing that I was dreaming of something just like it! She has a wonderful eye for picking out special things and she sourced this from the op shop that she volunteers at. Talk about luck that was my size and looked like it had never been worn.

My fabulous red beret was a very romantic gesture from Max that he brought back to me from Paris over four years ago!

And of course here I am wearing my favourite Bernie Dexter Skinny Dungarees, I love them!
