Chromefest 2014

With my beautiful friend Renee who is wearing a gorgeous yellow playsuit by Hell Bunny!

Photo from my Instagram page.

A few more outfit shots before we left, wearing this amazing Bernie Dexter dress...

Dress - Bernie Dexter
Shoes - I Love Billy
Sunglasses - Pared Eyewear
Parasol - Vintage

After wanting to go to Chromefest for the past few years I finally got to go and it was so much fun! There was great music, beautiful cars and lots of well dressed people.

It was such a hot day so I made sure to wear plenty of sunblock, stand in the shade where possible and have my parasol up at all times!

The public was welcome to participate in a best dressed fashion show which was a great excuse for to show off our outfits on the main stage (for those who were keen)! I do have some photos of that + a few more with some classic cars that Renee took so I will be sure to make another post soon.

We had another event during the same day so we left at about 1pm as we had to drive two hours for it and I will blog about this very soon (it was also so much fun)!

I have been saving this perfect Bernie Dexter dress for Chromefest since I bought it earlier in the year and I love it so much. The fabric is lovely to wear, the print is amazing and the cut is oh-so flattering!

Jelly Bag!

Jelly Bag - c/o Sun Jellies (Alice Bag)
Shirt - Hell Bunny
Shorts - Hell Bunny
Shoes - Op Shop find

A few years ago I was trying to buy a vintage bag like the Sun Jellies one but I had no luck. I came across Sun Jellies on Instagram recently and was over the moon to see that this wonderful brand is reproducing them! You can purchase it in pink, red and black... But I can't resist pink!

I was very excited to receive this bag as it is perfect for the beach or even at the shops. The Alice bag is perfect for carrying all of those essential items that we need. I went to the beach today to walk my dogs and had my water, hat, camera, phone, sunglasses and wallet inside. It is well made so nothing falls out either!

The Jelly Bag can easily be taken apart and reassembled which makes it a great bag to pack in your suitcase for a holiday!

It's really great that Sun Jellies has brought back such a great retro bag, they even have a range of cute jelly shoes

Expect to see it on my blog some more during the hot weather season!

Oktober Dress

Dress - Hell Bunny via Stars and Swallows
Shoes - I Love Billy

I have wanted the Oktober Dress since it came out a year or two ago... I pondered if it was necessary for quite some time. I then came across Stars and Swallows on their Instagram page and couldn't pass up a good deal so ordered it last week with very quick shipping (yay!). I am glad I did because it one of the cutest dresses ever and Hell Bunny never disappoints!

I believe that the local Oktoberfest event was cancelled last year and never came back but it won't stop me from wearing this cute dress. I don't think I even need a theme to wear it because I love it so much.

The corset ribbon detail and the cute sleeves are such a great touch and it is very flattering to wear! It was fun to have my hair like this and I think you will be seeing this hairstyle time to time again on the blog as it is perfect for Australian summer weather!

I am bringing you an exciting series of posts to the blog very soon - so keep an eye out!

Sun and Stripes

Dress - Hell Bunny
Shoes - I Love Billy
Sunglasses - Pared Eyewear
Bag - Gift
Hair Flower - Home-made

These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago on a sunny weekend! I went for a beach walk with family and the dogs, we had burgers and chips by the beach for lunch at our favourite place too. The last couple of days have seen rain and clouds which I don't mind, but I do love to wear my dresses on a sunny day by the beach.

I was excited to finally wear this dress as it was another one that I bought during Winter! The fact that is has cute front pockets, buttons at the back and a matching belt makes it a very lovely and detailed dress with all of the things that I like combined.
