The Megan | Voodoo Vixen

Cigarette Pants - Collectif Clothing
Shoes - Mel

Turquoise is one of my favourite colours and is also my birthstone so the Megan cardigan is a perfect match! I couldn't help but draw focus to this beautiful cardigan by wearing it with my trusty cigarette pants and surprisingly comfortable heels!

With a few Voodoo Vixen cardigans in my wardrobe now, I already want to add more to my collection as they are all beautiful quality. I have already worn this cardigan a number of ways with dresses and jeans... However this outfit has been my favourite look with it so far!

I am wearing size small in the Megan, as I do with all Voodoo Vixen clothing and find it to be another great fit!

Photoshoot | Elise Design

In May I was lucky enough to be part of the Elise Design Autumn/Winter shoot! Last year I worked with Thu and the Elise Design team in their Spring bash fashion show, so it was very exciting to be working with wonderful people and beautiful clothes again. Elise Design stores are located in Newtown (Sydney) and Melbourne... You can visit the online store too (yay)!

This is quite a photo heavy post, though I narrowed it down to my favourite shots and outfits of the day. All photos are by the wonderful Lily Zdilar who was not only a fantastic photographer but also a pleasure to work with.

One of my favourite dresses from the day, I loved it with the dark lipstick and matching hair flower.

I also got to model with these beautiful ladies: Elle of Elise Design and Ellen who is a fellow blogger with a wardrobe to die for!

I didn't have much time for behind the scene shots as it was such a busy day, here are a few shots that I managed to take!

Thu of Elise Design.

Behind the scenes shot by Thu.

It was a wonderful day and a great experience for someone like me who loves being in front of the camera, all of the behind the scenes work and of course has a crazy obsession with vintage fashion!

Everything is available from Elise Design including the Miz Mooz shoes!

1940s Floral | Karina Dresses

Shoes - Target
Necklace - 1940s Vintage via Lantana Vintage

Yesterday morning was spent walking the dogs, picking up some shopping and taking this gorgeous dress out for a spin!

This lovely 1940s inspired floral number was kindly sent to me from Karina Dresses, the New York based company oozes easy to wear designs that are both fun and flattering.

I am wearing size xs and am very happy with the fit. There is no zip on the dress, however it is made out of a polyester and spandex blend. My favourite feature has to be that it doesn't wrinkle, this is great for weekends away, holidays or simply packing a spare dress (oh and no ironing or steaming, woohoo)!

I look forward to wearing this dress throughout the year with flats, platforms and different coloured cardigans!

Anchors and Sunny Winter Days | Voodoo Vixen

A dolphin following the Maritime boat.

Joni Dress - c/o Voodoo Vixen
Shoes - Novo
Sunglasses - Asos
Brooch - Vintage
Handbag - Thrifted

Living by various beaches and waterfronts with yacht clubs seems to make me naturally drawn to all things nautical and tropical... And the Joni dress by Voodoo Vixen is a match made in heaven!

It was hard to believe that it was Winter yesterday, the sun was out and it was the perfect opportunity to wear this dress whilst basking in the sun.

Voodoo Vixen clothing is an incredibly affordable pin-up brand, the fabric is of high quality and the designs are comfortable. I wear size small across this brand and find that the sizing is generally spot on (though I have heard that some need to size up in the wiggle dresses). There is usually and extra inch or two in the waist of the swing dresses, this is something I never mind + with a gorgeous matching belt there are no issues with size!

The neckline and capped sleeves is oh so sweet and flattering. It also has pockets, yay! The trimming on the dress and belt reminds me of rope on the warfs. I went with no petticoat as it is more practical when walking the dogs, Voodoo Vixen swing dresses are quite full on their own and they look wonderful when strutting your stuff (as Fifi and I did on the warf yesterday)!

Here's to happy dogs and nautical themed clothing on sunny winter days!
